Is that necessary ? I have often to manually ‘nudge’ the mount afterwards to remove backlash. Even once you’re up and going and no longer a “newbie”, there is still a lot to learn. Even the author of the software is still learning new things all the time about how to take the best images and how to get the most out of the images during processing.
